I am a Bishop with my organization; I’ve been in ministry for over 20 years and have planted four churches personally plus helped other church planters over the years. I would have to say that, “Go and Tell” is the most thorough teaching on evangelism that I’ve attended. Pastor Jim does an excellent job in motivating and instructing the believer in the importance of evangelism. His simple but efficient approach of sharing the gospel while using the Heidelberg Catechism is incredible. As a matter of fact, I’ve taken it twice and the second time was just for pleasure. The churches that I oversee have effectively used this tool of evangelism and have witnessed firsthand its usefulness. I can guarantee that if you and or your church take this seminar you will see a rise in the sharing of the gospel in your life and the life of your church. The name says it all, “Go and Tell” it’s the way to fulfill the Great Commission and Great Commandment of Christ using the tools that we all know and love. Thank you Pastor Jim for your dedication to the gospel and may His blessings are upon you and your congregation as you do His will.

Bryant and I watched your 4-video training today and printed the notes to use. Powerful. We’re still talking about it. Your teaching is well organized and your stories so compelling. I saw your first videos years ago. The new ones are exceptional. I’m impressed by the way your improvements to the program make the message more impactful. We sat down together and listed additional names from within our circle of influence who need the gospel and added them to our prayer list. As we continue to pray we will look for more opportunities to share the gospel. We’re so thankful for your influence, example, and friendship.

Pastor Jim gave his Go and Tell presentation at Northern Heights C.R.C in Kalamazoo Michigan. What a great program for those who feel they need just a little push or a slight confidence booster to “Go and Tell” their friends and neighbors the good news of Jesus Christ, and what better time to do so. A recent article in the Grand Rapids press dated Aug. 7 stated the fact that the C.R.C membership is at its lowest point in over fifty years. In this same section was the report by the Pew Research Center that one-fifth of the U.S. public and one third of adults 30 and younger, are religiously unaffiliated. As Scripture tells us and Pastor said in his presentation, “the harvest is great, the harvesters few…” As the interim Pastor at Northern Heights I highly recommend this program for the church that wants to be a witness for Christ and have the confidence to do so.

Hey Jim, just wanted to let you know that I presented Go and Tell with my junior high missions team a few weeks ago. One student got saved and has shown a remarkable turnaround in her life. Then each of the students, seventh and eighth graders, shared it with at least one stranger last week in Louisville.

I strongly recommend the Go and Tell training because of its emphasis on the importance of repentance, arising out of a deep conviction of one’s own sin, and the clear and concise presentation of the gospel of Christ. Pastor Halstead’s passion for the Gospel and for reaching lost people shines through!

The 3 CRC’s of Thunder Bay, Ontario were blessed to have Pastor Jim Halstead lead us in the “Go and Tell” seminar. Pastor Jim is a man who walks the talk, telling many stories of his own journey of sharing the good news with others. We were encouraged in a very practical step by step way to share our faith with all who God puts in our pathway. Starting with prayer and being lead by the Holy Spirit to work through us. Personally I have a renewed passion to share my faith with others. I would encourage those wanting to evangelize to check the “Go and Tell” seminar out on line or have Pastor Jim come and share it in person! In Thunder Bay we hope to offer “Go and Tell” annually to the congregations from the website.

The Go and Tell seminar had an impact on me in the sense that I cannot be selfish about the truth of the Gospel the Lord has revealed to me and commands me to tell. I use to be afraid of offending others, but I do not want to be like the Fire Chief who lets a house burn: I want to be like the newspaper carrier screaming to save a life. Something that really stuck to me were the words of Penn Jillette, “…how much do you have to hate someone to not proselytize them?

Go and Tell is an inspirational and practical seminar on how to effectively and compassionately communicate the Gospel. The facilitator, Pastor Jim Halstead, goes beyond communicating methods and facts about evangelism, he transfers his passion and life experiences as well. I highly recommend this seminar to any church or denomination.

Our church is in the midst of a two-year renewal process that is driving us back to the Scriptures as we ask ourselves, “What is the purpose of the church?” We have discovered that the purpose of the church is to inspire and equip people to become disciples of Christ who make disciples for Christ. For me the Go and Tell seminar encouraged and challenged me both in my walk as a disciple of Christ and calling to make disciples for Christ. Go and Tell is helping me articulate and share the good news of Jesus that’s alive and pulsating in my heart and soul to people to people that I know and see on a regular basis. Grounded in Scripture and with the Heidelberg Catechism as its framework, Go and Tell is an excellent resource for sharing the good news of Jesus with others. Pastor Jim is an engaging communicator and coach with lots of personal testimonies of people in his life in which the Holy Spirit is at work. Before I left the seminar, I committed myself to praying each week for some of my neighbors, looking for ways to build and/or strengthen my relationship with them, and seizing the opportunities to share the good news of Jesus with them.
Pastor Michael Koetje
It is the most profoundly simple approach to sharing the gospel I have ever seen or heard.
Pastor Dan
Using the Go and Tell video and material as a Sunday School guide, we divided the material into 30 minute segments. This allowed for time to talk and review in addition to practice on each other. While this was taking place the response from the group was the concise way the message was able to be presented. The gift was in the term of the class-two people from outside the ministry gave their lives to Christ.
